Joshua David Weiss, son of Linda McNulty and Lewis Weiss, passed away at his home in Saratoga, CA on April 25, 2022.

Joshua was born in Santa Cruz on February 6, 1982. He came into this world a fighter and was a warrior for all of his 40 years. Joshua brought love and pure joy to each person he met and taught his family how to truly live life with patience, grace and kindness.

Joshua grew up in Scotts Valley, CA with his Mom, Dad, brother and two sisters. At 6 months of age Joshua began his lifelong journey through special education programs.
Throughout his life, Joshua loved participating in Special Olympics, Shared Adventures, Challenger Baseball, and was active in the Great Endeavors Day Care Program in San Jose, CA for many years.
Joshua’s love of music helped him through the multiple challenges in his life. It deeply calmed his soul and brought happiness to his life. He enjoyed listening to Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty and especially loved his favorite, Raffi.

Joshua lived the last 15 years of his life in Saratoga, CA where he was lovingly cared for by the dedicated and devoted staff and caregivers at the Tupaz Home Care Facility.
Joshua is survived by his Mom and Stepdad, Linda and Tim McNulty of Santa Cruz; Sister and Brother-in-law, Rachele and Paul Nocis of Santa Cruz; Brother and Sister-in-law, Andrew and Jacqui Weiss of Santa Cruz; Sister and Brother-in-law Hillary and Kevin Thrash of Meadow Vista, CA; Stepbrother and Sister-in law, Ryan and Tierney McNulty of Santa Cruz; Stepsister and Brother-in-law Erin and Jarrod Murray of San Martin, CA; Stepbrother, Patrick McNulty and his fiancé, Brandy Baird of Santa Cruz. He is also survived by his niece, Abigail, and nephews, Tyler, Brady, Cameron, Zachary, Owen and Kian. Joshua will also be remembered by his many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins from CA, NY, FL, MT, TN and MD.
Joshua was preceded in death by his Dad, Lewis Weiss.

Joshua’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Oakwood Memorial Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz, CA, immediately followed (at approximately 12:30 pm) by a picnic at DeLaveaga Park, 899 Branciforte Dr. Santa Cruz, CA at the Maple Grove Picnic Area.
