H. Jeanne Zong

<p><span style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">H. Jeanne Zong, 88, of McVeytown, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.</span></p><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;Born Sept. 15, 1933 in McVeytown, she was a daughter of the late Edward A. and Mary V. (Miller) Rittenhouse.&nbsp; Her husband, Walter S. "Bud" Zong Jr., preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2008.</div><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;Also preceding her in death was a son, Daniel B. Zong; a daughter, Nancy E. Zong; and all of her six siblings.</div><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;Surviving are:&nbsp; four children, Douglas E. Zong and wife Deborah of McVeytown, Walter S. "Buddy" Zong III of Atlas, Melanie D. Baxter and husband Matthew of McVeytown, Mark D. Zong and wife Beth of McVeytown; eight grandchildren, Douglas Zong, Matthew Dunmire, Erica Evenson, Derek Dunmire, Cody Zong, Whitney Dalton, Tyler Zong, Dylan Zong; 17 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.</div><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;A retired LPN, she formerly was employed by Dr. Malhotra in Lewistown.</div><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;Jeanne was a member of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church.</div><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, with Rev. Jeffrey Fisher officiating.&nbsp; Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.</div><div style="font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;">&nbsp; &nbsp;Memorial contributions may be made to the McVeytown Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 357, McVeytown, PA&nbsp; 17051.</div>
