Cindy Iris Fox, age 66 passed away and gained her angel wings on Monday, May 2, 2022 at her home in Palmer Alaska surrounded by her loving family. Cindy was born January 12, 1956 in Johnday Oregon, to Daniel Hugh Langenfeld and Hilda Iris (Moffet) Langenfeld. On September 23,1978 Cindy gave birth to Melissa Dawn Dexter, Making Cindy a Mom, then on June 25, 1980 her second daughter Nikole Iris Dexter was born. She married the love of her life Sid Fox on August 23,1986 in Craig Alaska. She worked as a teachers aid for two years at Freshwater Bay Logging camp before moving to Juneau Alaska in 1989 where she was a waitress at the Airport Restaurant while going to University of Alaska Southeast to get her accounting degree. She then worked for The First National Bank of Alaska until getting a job with the State of Alaska. She retired from the State of Alaska in 2016. Cindy lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, riding 4 wheelers, fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also developed a passion for Quail, she would spend time nurturing them. Quail that had sickness, she would nurse them back to health or make them as comfortable as humanly possible. She loved animals as well. except for mice and rats then she would say the only good rodent was a dead one. Cindy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She was a true Christian that witnessed to many the hope and faith she had in Christ Jesus. She was a member of Pathway to Heaven Church for many years. She was very close friends with Dr. Priscilla Fulford(Pastor) She is survived by her Husband Sid, 6 daughters Jeannie(Steve) Klopper, Robin(John) Rex, Brandy(Mike) Freeman, Melissa(John) Foster, Nikole(Ron) Borello. And many Grandchildren and Great-GrandChildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Hilda. Grandchildren Shawnee Jennay Childress and Tristan Michael Dexter-Fox. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at her home, 885 N. Angus Lp Palmer AK 99645 On Sunday, May 15th at 3pm to 5pm with services beginning at 3:15pm Dr. Priscilla Fulford(Pastor) of Pathway to Heaven Church. Will officiate.
