Jane Welch Columbus, Ohio Obituary

Jane Welch

WELCH, Jane (neé Lawrence), passed away Friday evening, May 6th, as a result of end-stage renal failure. She was 82. Over the course of her life she was a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved animals (and provided a home to many cats over the years), gardening, shopping, reading lots of books, and spending time with her family. She was spunky and full of laughter and endeared herself to those who knew her, even during the difficult years of her illness. She was born on March 15, 1940, in Bellville, Ohio, to Robert R. and Vera M. (neé Feigley) Lawrence; their deaths preceded hers. She is greatly missed by those she left behind: her daughters, Jennifer (Kevin) Freiberger, and Joan Welch; her sister, Susie (Teddy) Antonopoulos; her brother, Robert F. Lawrence; her niece, Amber (Ernie) Sanchez; her granddaughters, Brynn (Brian) Grimes, and Samantha Freiberger; and her great-grandson, Isaac Grimes, as well as a host of extended family and friends. Per Jane's request, there will not be a funeral or service; those wishing to honor her life in some way are asked to donate to an animal rescue organization, or your local library. May her memory be a blessing.
