<p>Clinton-Peter C. Cotton, 79, passed away peacefully at Sterling Village on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, following a period of declining health.&nbsp; He is survived by his soulmate and loving wife of 40 years, Terry Cotton; daughter Maegen McCaffrey &amp; husband Tim; two adoring grandchildren, Campbell and Molly McCaffrey, all of Clinton; two brothers, Christopher Cotton &amp; wife Carolyn of Dunwoody, Georgia; and Bruce Cotton of Clinton; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.&nbsp;</p><p>Peter was born in Boston and raised in Wellesley, son of the late Harold &amp; Dorothy (Carmer) Cotton.&nbsp; He graduated from Wellesley High School, Class of 1960, achieved his undergraduate degree from the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, and proudly served our nation in the US Marine Corps Reserves.&nbsp; Peter spent his professional career in Industrial Sales and ultimately founded, owned, and operated Peter C. Cotton &amp; Associate for many years until retiring.&nbsp; Actively involved in his community, Peter held membership with numerous organizations, and notably served as Past President of the Clinton Lions Club, as a member of the Masons and Shriners International, the Clinton Elks Lodge, and Trinity Lodge AF &amp; AM. Blessed with a brilliant mind, Peter was a voracious reader and trivia whiz who retained vast knowledge of history and all topics.&nbsp; He held a lifelong passion for music and was a gifted musician and talented guitar player.&nbsp; Peter was generous and kind, thoughtful, and considerate.&nbsp; Above all, he will be forever remembered as a loving family man, devoted husband, father, and grandfather.&nbsp; Peter’s family wish to express their sincere appreciation for the care and compassion provided by the nurses, aides and Trinity hospice team at Sterling Village.&nbsp; Calling hours will be held&nbsp;on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 5 until 7 PM&nbsp;in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home,&nbsp;176 Water St., Clinton.&nbsp; A Funeral Service will be celebrated&nbsp;at 11 AM on Thursday, May 19, 2022&nbsp;in the funeral home.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Peter Cotton to Shriners Children’s Boston, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114, or to the&nbsp;Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
