Evelyn Sandler

Evelyn Bank Sandler, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 in Houston TX. Evelyn was born on January 10, 1933 in Tulsa, OK to the late Ellis and Mollie Bank.

Evelyn attended North High School in Wichita, KS and Oklahoma University in Norman OK. She married Joe Alvin Sandler, December 27, 1953 in Wichita, KS. They started a family in 1954 and moved to Houston in 1956. Evelyn enjoyed raising her 4 kids, playing Mahjong with her friends, and attending Houston Oiler football games. She was passionate about photography and won many awards for her nature photos. She served as President of the Houston Photochrome Club. She adored all babies but especially her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.

Evelyn was proceeded in death by her Parents, 2 Brothers, a granddaughter, Rebecca and a great granddaughter, Ava. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Joe and 4 children, Rosalyn Jochen of Spring, TX, Mike Sandler (Eleanor) of Diamondhead, MS, Vikki Clement (Joe) of Centerton, AR and Van Sandler (Kathy) of Richmond, TX, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

The funeral service for Evelyn will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Bender Chapel at Beth Yeshurun Post Oak, 1037 Post Oak Rd.
