Arthur Leroy Tate
Arthur Leroy Tate, 68, of Travelers Rest, SC, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 6, 2022. He was born in Liberty, SC to the late Helen Willis and Arthur Lee Tate.<br><br>After graduating from Liberty High School, Arthur proudly served in the US Army. He enjoyed playing pool and telling jokes, often filling a room with smiles and laughter. <br><br>Arthur is survived by his daughter, Helena A. Thorpe (Magnus O.); son, Tony L.Tate (Sherri L.); grandchildren: Antonio Tate, Alexis Vasquez, Cameron Tate, and Magnus I.O. Thorpe; great-grandchild, Selene Tate; sister, Angelee Tate; niece, Allison Tate; and nephew, Barry Tate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Tate.<br><br>Military Honors will be rendered and funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, May 20, 2022 at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Rd., Greenville, SC 29607. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 11:00 AM.
