Ruben Tricoche Jr. (Benny), a self contractor for Spark Delivery Services and resident of North Port, FL, died unexpectedly on May 6, 2022, at the age of 49 while working in Sarasota County, FL. Benny is survived by his father Ruben Tricoche; his mother Lillian Tricoche; his brothers David & Raymond Tricoche; his son Devin; his daughters Elissa & Bella; his longtime life partner Jessica Hird and his stepchildren Sarah & Nicolais; his nephew David Jr, niece Sophia and sister-in-law Tara Tricoche, children & wife of brother David; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers, and loved ones. Benny was born in Newark, NJ on September 8, 1972. He lived in Bloomfield, NJ and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1990 and later attended Bloomfield College. His many talents and interests began at a young age and continued throughout his life. He was a BMX rider second to none; a gamer that mastered every single game he played since childhood; a dancer that was as fluid and smooth as water and a founding member of M.O.D.E.; an athlete in Track & Field for BHS where he ran hurdles; he enjoyed the club/dance scene from New York to Miami; he was a talented artist which has won awards in art contests and is skilled in graffiti and air brush styles; he loved music, traveling, road trips, car shows and sports cars, especially his baby Regina, a modified Camry with Toyota Racing Design (TRD); camping in Blairstown, NJ as a boy; he was a dedicated, hard worker since his first job as a newspaper delivery boy on his BMX bike; he touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with and was always willing to help others. His infectious smile and loving heart left a profound impact on all that knew him. He was a spiritual man and a believer in God and also attended a youth group at his family church, Love of Jesus Church in Orange, NJ. Benny moved to South Florida in 1992 to continue his career in the restaurant business, working his way up the ladder throughout the industry at multiple restaurants. He has lived and worked in different cities throughout Florida over the years including Pembroke Pines, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Cape Coral and most recently North Port. Each place that he ventured to on his life journey and in business he has left his unique impact on everyone he met and always left each business establishment in better care than when he arrived. He opened his home to many family and friends throughout the years and anyone that stayed with him not only felt like family, they became family. He was an amazing man, great role model, and leader. Anyone who remained in his presence for any period of time would always leave a brighter version of themselves. He was a devoted father and husband. A pillar of his community. Even in death Benny still found a way to make a positive impact in the lives of others through his selfless organ donations. As of today he has already helped save and change the lives of 14 individuals and their families. The magnitude of the ripple effect of his love will no doubtedly touch many more lives to come. A viewing and celebration of life gathering will be held for family and friends to pay their respect and express their individual love and condolences. The family would like to encourage anyone that attends to write a personal heartfelt letter to Ruben Jr. (Benny). Anyone who would like their letter to remain in confidence between yourself and Benny we ask that you place all private letters inside of the casket to remain with him. Anyone who would like their letters to be read and shared with the family we would ask that you place them in the provided basket alongside the casket. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, between 5:00 - 7:00 pm, followed immediately by a service between 7:00 - 7:30 pm being given by Dr. Arlin Bolejack, Associate Pastor of First Christian Church located in Cape Coral, FL. All arrangements have been handled through the compassionate guidance of Eric & Carolyn Johnson.
