Wallace Savoury

It is with great sadness that the family of Wallace Savoury announces his passing at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Centre at Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, May 9, 2022, age 84 years, of Pool’s Cove.

Wallace leaves to mourn his loving family: sons, Donald (Annette) at Pool’s Cove, Dennis (Ellen) at Grand Falls-Windsor and Matthew Savoury at St. John’s; daughters, Elizabeth Taylor and Mary Ann Savoury, both at St. John’s; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brothers, Kevin (Anne), Henry (Marlene), Clyde (Hazel), Fred (Marjorie) all at Grand Bank and Wayne at Burin; sisters, Colleen (Junior Herridge), Ruth (Bill Scott), Georgie Green, all at Grand Bank, Mary (Eugene Wiseman) at St. John’s, Marilyn (Howard Thornhill) at Fortune and Shirley (Morgan Keeping) at Harbour Grace, caregivers, Miranda Keeping and Nadine Fizzard; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Wallace was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen; his son, Christopher; grandson, Shane Savoury; brothers, Bruce Savoury and Arthur Savoury; sister, Sadie; son in law, Bill Taylor; parents, Percy and Lucy Savoury;

Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm at McDermott United Church at Pool’s Cove with Rev. Eric Hillier officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Pool’s Cove.
