Mr. Clayton Wade Horne, age 50, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 in a Rome medical center following a brief illness. He was born in Knoxville, TN on November 1, 1966 a son of Earl Stanley Horne and Betty Moser Horne. Clayton had been a resident of Aragon since 2009 moving her from Indiana, PA. He enjoyed sharing his faith with others and attended the Westridge Church of Dallas,GA. Clayton enjoyed woodworking and building as well as hunting and fishing. He also loved to decorate his home and yard during the Christmas season. Clayton was employed by Harbor Freight of Rome for the past five years where he served as Assistant Manager. He was preceded in death by his father on May 16, 2014. Survivors include his wife of twenty five years, Sherry Echols Horne; five children: Christopher Horne (Shelby), Katie Johnson (Tim), Hope Horne, Timothy Echols and Matthew Echols; mother, Betty Horne; sister, Kim Horne; granddaughter, Annaleigh Johnson and fourteen nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Echols and Rev. Rodney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include: Scott Denny, Tim Johnson, Bryon Honea, Jimmy Echols, Dusty Hicks and Daniel Echols. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
