Service for Omellen Grant, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Lionel Carlton, Brandon Carlton, Trenton Jarred Carlton, Stanley Grant, Trevor Taylor and Moses S, Groover. Honorary pallbearers will be Moses L. Groover, Ernest Brown, Jr. and her great grandsons.

Omellen passed away May 6, 2022 in Cleburne. She was born July 27, 1931, in Alvarado to Elijah Isaiah Norwood and Leatha (Branch) Norwood. Omellen met Robert W. Grant Sr., in 1952 and they wed in holy matrimony on February 21, 1953, in Cleburne, Texas and continued their lives with 6 beautiful children from this union. Stanley, Valerie, Edward, Audrey, Angela and Anita. She was a homemaker and member of First Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Omellen is survived by her daughter, Valerie Carlton Mason and husband John of Cleburne; stepdaughter, Cynthia Grant Brown and husband Ernest, Sr. of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Stanley, Jr., Alisha, Lionel, Brandon, Jarred, Tanesia, Triston, Sherrard, Tandra, Trevor, Ernest, Jr., Lisa; a host of amazing great-grandchildren; sister Inell Sheppard of Modesto, California; numerous nieces, nephews and the countless lives she has touched throughout her life.

Preceding her in death was her parents Elijah and Leatha Norwood, her husband of 45 years at the time of his death Robert W. Grant Sr., her sons Stanley Sr., Edward, and Robert Jr., her daughters Audrey, Angela and Anita; grandchild, Stephen Brown.
