Sara J. Prescott, 88, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Shelbyville, TN, on June 30, 1933, a daughter of the late Wallace and Lena (Nelson) Demonbreun. She was a graduate of Shelbyville High School and on June 30, 1956, she was united in marriage to Carl R. Prescott. He passed away on November 25, 2003.

Sara was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Prescott; a son, Terry Prescott; seven grandchildren, Rodney, Jason, Devin, Jordan, Terry Jr., Brian and Collin; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Berkley.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
