Larry E. Clayton, age 70, passed away May 7, 2022. He was born May 9, 1951, to the late Dorothy Bleubaugh in Cumberland, MD. Larry graduated from Coco Beach High School in 1969 in Coco Beach, FL. After high school, Larry enlisted in the US Air Force and served for 4 years. He married Karen Kane on April 13, 1974, in Council Bluffs, IA. Larry was a Council Bluffs Fireman and home builder for many years. Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Reynolds. He is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, Troy Clayton and Theron Clayton; grandchildren, Alyssa Travis, Tyler Clayton, Emily Clayton and William “Danny” Clayton; sister, Karen Clayton Makin (Jimmy); niece, Stacey Makin Chaedel (Marc) and their son Gavin; brother-in-law, Keith Kane (Carol); sister-in-law, Kaye Wiedemeier (Tom); other loving family and friends. Services Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Southview Bible Church, Council Bluffs. Visitation starting one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
