Ida Ruth Owens, age 78, passed away May 8, 2022 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Ida was born July 4, 1943. She worked for many years for the City of Council Bluffs as a Meter Reader. Ida was a former member of Full Gospel Assembly and she enjoyed all sports, music, riding motorcycles and most of all her kids, grandkids and other family. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Frankie and Robert Struble; husband, Lonnie Owens, Sr.; sons, Rusty and Lonnie Owens, Jr.; brother, Jean Havens; brother-in-law, Paul Rosenburg. She leaves behind her sons, Rodney (Leith) Owens, Brian (Diann) Owens, all of Council Bluffs; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brother Randy (Susie) Struble; sister, Patty Rosenburg all Yukon, OK. Celebration of Ida’s life will be Saturday 11:00am at Refuge Bible Church, 634 Willow Ave; with a luncheon to follow the services. Family will direct memorials.
