Mr. Charles “Charlie” Allen Rossi, 63, 0f Lumberton, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022. Charlie was born to Leon Allen Rossi and Betty “Dean” Maxine (Durmon) Rossi on Thursday, October 23, 1958, in Beaumont, Texas.

Charlie was a man who liked to keep life simple and straightforward; preferring to spend his time with his family or doing some of the things he loved like fishing or watching his Greenbay Packers play. A giving person, nothing made Charlie happier than when he was around any of his children, but especially his baby girl Katelyn, and able to joke around or cook a good meal. Charlie was known to know his way around a crawfish boil or BBQ pit in his day, and if a good game of horseshoes was taken up Charlie would be right there tossing away. If you ever had a question about the NFL, he was the one to ask; Charlie loved everything about the NFL and prided himself on being somewhat of a historian where his favorite sport was concerned. A wonderful father, devoted friend, loving son and brother, Charlie was truly a great man. Many will miss the opportunity to join Charlie for a beer and he will not soon be forgotten.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Betty “Dean” Rossi of Lumberton; his children: Alicia Rossi of Vidor, Jason Rossi of Vidor, Loren Rossi of Corpus Christi, Miranda Rossi of Tennessee, Katelyn Rossi of Lumberton, Austin Oliver of Lumberton, and Rachael Oliver of Lumberton; his 6 grandchildren; his siblings: Janet Lane and husband James of Lumberton, and Craig Duhon and wife Tammie of Lumberton; and numerous friends, loved ones, and extended family members throughout the many years.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father, Leon Rossi.

To honor Charlie’s life the family will have a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lumberton Family Funeral Home (766 S. Main St. Lumberton, TX 77657). Funeral services for Charlie will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Grace Church (1130 Hwy 69, Kountze, TX 77625). Charlie will be laid to rest at Leatherwood Cemetery in Lumberton, TX immediately following the funeral services.

Serving as pallbearers will be Austin Oliver, Jimmy Lane, Cody Williams, David Lee Allen, James Ray Honea, and Brandon Emmerling. The family also wishes to recognize Jason Rossi as an honorary pallbearer.
