<p>Carmela Annicchiarico, 64, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 7, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family.</p> <p>Carmela inspired countless students and touched many lives during her 22 plus years in elementary education. She worked tirelessly as a kindergarten teacher at PS #29, where her passion for her students was apparent daily, in the way she delighted in motivating young minds. Outside of the classroom, Carmela&rsquo;s hobbies included handcrafting, crocheting, sewing, and cooking for her family. She took great pride in her seven grandchildren and took every opportunity to spend time with them, whether at a concert in the park or during one of her fun-arts-and-crafts-filled sleepovers and movie nights. Carmela was generous and kind. A teacher until the end, she will be remembered for her patience, compassion, and willingness to do for others.&nbsp;</p> <p>Loving daughter of the late Emanuel and Guilia Annicchiarico; loving mother of Jacqueline Irlanda and her husband Alex, Michele Ferry and her husband Vincent, and Julia Lleo and her husband Elio; devoted grandmother of Aleesha, Giovanna, Aibhlinn, Vincent, Emilio and Annaliese; cherished great grandmother of Myles; dear sister of the late Joseph Annicchiarico, Emanuel Annicchiarico, Bernard Annicchiarico and Julia Montone and her husband Gerry. Also surviving is her loving nephew Gerardo and many loving friends.</p> <p>Visitation&nbsp;will be held at Riotto&nbsp;Funeral Home (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City)&nbsp;on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 3 PM to 7 PM.&nbsp; Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12, 2022, 10:30 AM, at St. Aedan&#39;s Church, Jersey City.&nbsp; Family&nbsp;&amp; friends will gather at the funeral home&nbsp;prior to mass at 9:00 AM.&nbsp; Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.</p>

I remember Jackies mom very well. She was a wonderful person that I had the pleasure of knowing because of her daughter. She will be missed. May her memory be a blessing to her family and friends. RIP
