It is with saddened hearts and joyous spirits that our mother, Catherine Pennell, passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on May 6, 2022. She is loved by many. <br><br>Children Deborah, Daniel (Erica), Cindy (Ed), Darlene (Robert), and Tina. She leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren; Jakob, Daniel, Nicole, Maggie (Sheldon), Adam (Sarah), Katie (Scottie), Jamie (Erin), Dana (Mickey), Ally (Ryan), Michelle and Ashley. Great-grandchildren; to whom she was known as GiGi: Jersey, Remington, and Grayson. Step grandchildren; Colby, Sophie, Kennedy. Brothers Bill (Alice), and Sonny. Brothers-in-law Victor Pennell (Doris) and Cyril Ryan. Sister-in-law Marie Pennell. And many other family members.<br><br>She will be meeting her beloved husband Joseph, Son David, parents Tom and Matilda O’Neill, along with her special friend Bill Clarke, and a vast number of family and friends.<br><br>She cherished her many friends from Trepassey and Carbonear. Those who brought food, went dancing with her, played cards, shared late night snacks with and those who just came across the hall for a chat. The Goff (Noel) family will forever hold memories of Nan Pennell dear to their hearts.<br><br>A heart felt thank you to all the doctors, nurses, staff and her roommate Michelle at Carbonear General for making mom’s stay comfortable and our experience unforgettable. <br><br>May you always have a sunbeam to warm you, a moonbeam to charm you, a sheltering angel so nothing can harm you.<br><br>The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Powell Drive, Carbonear Cove on Monday: 11 A.M. – 2 P.M.<br><br>The family will also be receiving relatives and friends at Fahey's Funeral Home, Main Rd, Trepassey, on Tuesday: 11 A.M. - 1 P.M.<br><br>Funeral service will be held at Holy Redeemer Parish in Trepassey on Tuesday May 10, 2022 at 1 P.M.
