Steven “Scott” Santoni, of Brighton, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2022, and while surrounded by his loving family. He was 47 years old. Scotty met the love of his life, Amy, in March of 2000, they were later married June 15 of 2002. They enjoyed every minute of every day together and were truly best friends and soulmates. Together they blossomed a beautiful family and life together. His greatest accomplishments in his own words were finding his wife Amy and three girls: Ashleigh, Alyssa and Alaina. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he loved being their "Bumpa". Creating great memories, visiting and loving them made him so happy. He loved animals and his home was always filled with their beloved pets. His dog Sassy was waiting for him on the rainbow bridge. He loved his mother Judy, father Lou, his step-dad Bob Neuman, his 6 brothers and sisters, and his sister-in-law Lisa. His love extended to all his nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, aunts, uncles and cousins. It's safe to say he loved big, with his whole heart and his love touched so many; he was a true family man. Scott had a way of "collecting friends" he didn't discriminate against who you were or where you came from. He kept you and considered you family. In a time of need Scotty was the man that would show up, he would drop everything to be there for anyone who asked. Scott worked for Precision Manufacturing Services and Rosedale Products for 27 years. He has served on the Hamilton Farms condominium board of directors since 2010 and was currently the board president. You could often find him working many side jobs to help a friend in need. Scotty's love for Michigan football ran deep. He attended his first Michigan football game in 1977, he bled maize and blue the rest of his life. Fall Saturdays weren't just about Michigan football, they were about coming together at The Wolverine Den with friends and family, experiencing the thrill of the game while uniting the unique bonds of friendship that have lasted a lifetime. Outside of Michigan football he poured himself into golfing, skiing, anything involving the beautification of his community. Scott was a longtime member of St. Patrick's catholic church in Brighton. In the last few years he was blessed to stumble across a group of friends at the Drew and Mike Podcast. They surrounded him with playful banter, laughter and friendship. He was a true P1 supporter. Scotty had a light inside of him, a light full of joy, optimism, immense courage, a youthful heart and a contagious smile that will be deeply missed. He was an absolute people person and knew how to keep a conversation going. He was a humble man that always put others first. He lived by the motto "kindness matters", it drew people to his light. One of the most defining things about Scott was his strength and courage, particularly in his last three and a half year with battle with Cholangiocarcinoma. Through the extensive surgeries, countless chemo and radiation treatments, due to his unwavering faith his light continued to shine. He never complained nor had self pity and continued to persevere despite his many challenges. He fought with immense strength and courage until the very end. Cancer didn't win, Heaven did. He was truly a prince of a man, a treasure, and someone who will be deeply missed. Live #SCOTTYSTRONG and Forever GO BLUE! Scott is survived by his wife of 20 years, Amy Santoni; father to, Ashleigh (Jeremy) Shelton, Alyssa (Christopher) McCarthy, and Alaina Santoni; beloved Bumpa to, Ethan, Aubree, Gracelyn, Matthew, Blake, Christopher II, and Chase; proudest Bumpa of the family dog, Theo Santoni; son of Louis Santoni, and Judy (Bob Neuman) Santoni; brother of Lou (Sue) Santoni, Julie (Steve) Campbell, Michael (Cheryl) Santoni, Gina (Michelle Yinling) Santoni, Rick (Ginger) Santoni, and Jennifer (Paul) Poore; brother-in-law of Lisa (Bob) Price; also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Visitation will be held at at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton, 48116 on May 12, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm. Memorial Services will be held at 7 pm, along with at time of sharing.
