Clinton-Joseph C. Dettling, 68, formerly of Hudson, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Diane (Lally) Dettling by his side and holding his hand on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. He leaves sons, Dan Rivers and Tom Rivers, and was affectionately known as “Pops” to his most treasured, and loved beyond words grandsons: Luke, Max, and Milo. He is pre-deceased by his sister Margaret Dettling, and father-in-law Gerald Lally.

Son of the late Joseph & Fannie (Buzzel) Dettling, Joe was raised and educated in Hudson and was a graduate of the Hudson High School, Class of 1971. He spent his professional career with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in Worcester for more than twenty years until the time of his passing. Joe was happiest at home spending time in the back yard with his family and dogs. He will be forever remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
