Edward Leon Solinski Obituary


Edward "Ed" Solinski age 90 of Ho Ho Kus passed away on May 4th at home surrounded by family.  He is survived by his sister Eleanor Burns of Hasbrouck Heights, Nieces and nephews Noreen Burns of Hasbrouck Heights, Neil Burns (Jeannine) of Hasbrouck Heights, Chris Solinski (Lydia) of Stanhope, Deborah Solinski of Port Charlotte, FL and Lauren Donahue of Lafayette and grandnieces and nephews Vanian Bazylevich, Veronica Burns, Stanley Burns, and Delia Donahue.  He is predeceased by a brother Richard Solinski, Nephew Robert Burns and niece, Diane Burns-Doak as well as a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Burns and Karen Solinski.
He was born in Jersey City to Stanley and Mary Solinski and resided in Rutherford NJ before moving to Ho Ho Kus in 1974.  He was a parishioner of St. Gabriel of the Archangel in Saddle River where he also served as an usher.  He was a volunteer at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for many years.
After graduating high school, Ed served in the Air Force. Upon his Honorable Discharge he attended The University of Colorado Boulder where he received degrees in History and Biology.  Prior to his retirement he was a science teacher with the Maywood NJ Board of Education.
The family will receive guest Wednesday 5/11/22 from 4-8PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481.  Funeral Mass Thursday 5/12/22 10AM at St. Gabriel's the Arch Angel 88 E. Saddle River Rd.
