Tammy Sue Harper, 50, passed away peacefully in her Des Moines, Iowa home on May 2, 2022. Tammy was born on February 15, 1972 in Tullahoma, Tennessee. She graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School, Florida in 1990 and earned her Associates Degree in Business from Des Moines Area Community College in 2014.

Tammy’s happiest moments were spent enjoying time with her son, Mitchell and grandson, Adrian. She found tremendous joy in watching Adrian learn new tricks at Lauridsen Skate Park and demonstrating Taekwondo skills at Farrell’s.

Tammy was employed at NewWave Telecom & Technologies and over the years shared her management skills with Ventech Solutions, General Dynamics, Silpada Designs, and Windsor Windows and Doors.

Tammy is survived by her son Mitchell (Jessica) Harper, grandson Adrian Harper, mother Vicki Harper, father David (Teresa) Harper, sister Debbie Harper, nieces Brittany Harper and Tori (Jeff) Greear, aunts, uncles, stepsisters/brothers and their families.

Tammy is preceded in death by her grandparents John and Melva Ellis, Clair and Regina Harper, aunts Sandy Adamson, Pat Ellis, and Carol Spragg, uncle Robert Adamson and cousin Mark Adamson.

Visitation is 5:00pm-7:00pm on Thursday, May 5 at Iles Funeral Home Grandview Park Chapel, 3211 Hubbell Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50317. Funeral service is at 10:00am Friday, May 6 at Iles Funeral Home Grandview Park Chapel, 3211 Hubbell Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50317. Followed by a graveside service at Elm Grove Cemetery, 6501 Indianola Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50315.
