Betty Gene Dyer Tampa, Florida Obituary

Betty Gene Dyer

Betty “Meemaw” Dyer Betty Gene Dyer departed her loving family on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022. Betty was born in Winona, Miss, on February 15, 1942, to Ester and Hattie Naron. Betty was a proud mother to her four sons Jon (Robyn), James, Jeff (Gena), and Joel (Karen). She leaves behind her four sons and their families, including nine grandchildren, Hubert, her brother, Woody, her nephew, and a world of friends, and neighbors. In her life, Betty was an accomplished high-school athlete, Air Force veteran, wife, mother, bank-teller and book-keeper, an accomplished poet, and lover of music, games, and good times. We are so blessed for the light, love, and smiles that Betty shared with us throughout her life, and the loss of her joyous presence is and will always be profound.

Mom always enjoyed donuts from 'A hole in one' donut shop - a couple of raspberry filled (her favorite) and chocolate covered. Drop them by on the way on to work. She liked them with her coffee.

Meemaw was a creative and big-hearted woman. When people mentioned how similar we were, I always felt honored because she is a much stronger and braver woman than most. I love you Meemaw and we’ll miss you always.
