Kathleen E. Mitchell

Kathleen Ellen (Rooney) Mitchell, 75, of North Woodstock, NH, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Formally of Melrose, MA, Moultonborough, NH and Vero Beach, FL, she was the only child of the late Thomas and Edith (McKiel) Rooney. Kathleen worked most of her life as a retail manager and owner of a children’s clothing boutique. She also worked at the Treasure Coast VNA and as a front desk associate at Dodgertown, the spring training facility for the LA Dodgers in Vero Beach, FL. Always a kind and giving person, Kathleen readily gave freely of her time to assist in local school volunteer activities, charitable fashion shows and the festival of the trees. Most of all, Kathleen loved spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoyed annual camping trips along the Saco River, boating, crafts, and cooking for large family gatherings. Kathleen is survived by her two sons, Stephen C. Mitchell and his wife Joanne of Holderness, NH and Gregory C. Mitchell of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two granddaughters Carys and Kellen Mitchell; and her former husband Charles Mitchell. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, MA. Donations in her memory may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society.
