SUMMITVILLE, IN – Former Summitville resident George E. “Buddie” Bennett, 76, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Henry County Community Hospital in New Castle following an extended illness. “Buddie” was born on September 22, 1945, to Leonard and Mildred (Jordan) Bennett. He was a lover of music and was especially fond of country and Christmas music. Buddie kept quite a collection of 45 rpm and 78 rpm vinyl records. He always enjoyed that first cup of morning coffee and watching TV westerns. Survivors: Sister-Wanda Cox-Anderson Brother-Dale (Pat) Bennett-Summitville 4 nieces 2 nephews Several close friends He was preceded in death by his mother, 2 brothers-David Bennett and Roscoe Rousey Services honoring Buddie’s life will take place at 1 pm on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in the Owens-Noffze-Funeral Home, 1009 West Walnut Street, Summitville with Pastor Nathan Lutterman officiating.
