Jeffrey L. Hummel
<p>Jeffrey Lewis Hummel, 66, of Shenandoah, Iowa, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at Nebraska Medicine – Omaha. A celebration of life memorial gathering for Jeff will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Shenandoah Eagles Club #3849 (709 W Thomas Ave). Memorials are being directed to the family.</p> <p>Jeffrey was born December 4, 1955, to Lewis and Phyllis (Johnson) Hummel in Sac City, Iowa. He spent his early years in Sac City, Iowa, Storm Lake, Iowa, and Cherokee, Iowa. He graduated from Sac City High School.</p> <p>On January 19, 1979, Jeff was married at the Methodist Church in Storm Lake, Iowa. He resided in Storm Lake and eventually divorced.</p> <p>He worked for Bil-Mar, Port-A-Hut, hauled gravel and was last employed by Iowa Beef Packers.</p> <p>Jeff was a member of the Shenandoah Eagles Club, a bowling league, and a pool league. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling and spending time with his friends and family.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Nicole.</p> <p>Left to cherish his memory are his son, Brian (Lisa) Hummel of Shenandoah, Iowa and Chad Hummel of Coralville, Iowa; brothers and sisters, Bonnie (Don) Wells of Ankeny, Iowa, Jason Hummel of Sac City, Iowa, Jill (Yancy) Bolden of Rock Island, Illinois, Jan Clay of Aurora, Colorado, Jody (Darwin) Taylor of Storm Lake, Iowa and Julie Hummel of Sac City, Iowa; granddaughters Trish Hummel and Mary Hummel.
