Charlotte I Lindahl

Charlotte I. Lindahl, age 70 of Story City and formerly of Boone, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Bethany Life in Story City. Charlotte was born at the Boone County Hospital on May 11, 1951, the daughter of Verne and Evelyn (Erickson) Lindahl. She attended Country School in Logansport for grade school then later Boone Schools. In her earlier years, Charlotte worked as a CNA. She also worked at Iowa State University, but her main career was being a caregiver for her parents, Verne and Evelyn. Charlotte loved crafting! Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; fiancé, Dale Nerem; siblings, Vera (Ray) Sullivan, Jim (Joyce) Lindahl and Don Lindahl; and nephews and a niece. She is survived by her son, Scott (Stacy) Lindahl of Ankeny; grandkids, Cooper and Peyton; sisters, Dorothy (Bob) Hoksbergen of Grundy Center, Joyce Kerns of Nevada, Nancy (Cloyd) Platter of Boone and Cheri (Smiley) Troutman of Laramie, WY; sister-in-law, Shirley Lindahl of Boone; along with many dear friends and nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will be in Boone Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Charlotte’s family for later designation. Online condolences may be left at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com. You were one of a kind. Loving and caring, ornery and sassy. Your health issues are over and you are free from them. I am grateful for the time we spent together recently. Give my mom a hug from me. God’s speed Aunt Charlotte, until we meet again. ❤️❤️❤️
