Crystal Renee Williams, 63, of Quincy, IL, formerly of Keokuk, IA went to her heavenly home on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born on January 9, 1959 in Keokuk, the daughter of Ray and Joyce Williams. She graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1977. Crystal attended Iowa State University and Southeastern Community College where she received her Associates Degree. During college, she sang in the Gospel Choir and made many lifelong friends through this ministry of music. Crystal worked in education and had been employed at several Day Cares and also at Keokuk Middle School and Teen Outreach. Crystal was an Elder and ordained Minister at the Cathedral of Worship in Quincy. She had an unwavering and deep faith in God and her passion was ministering to people and sharing the gospel of Christ. She was a talented artist and created many oil-based paintings that always portrayed a faith based message. She loved to shop, listen to gospel music and cook. Her home-made salisbury steak was a favorite of all her family and friends. She also enjoyed watching Family Feud, The Andy Griffith Show, Madea movies and anything that starred Denzel Washington. She is survived by her brother, Ray Williams (Mary) of Quincy, nieces and nephews, LaToya Williams, Aaron Williams, Andrew Williams and Autumn Williams, and many great nieces and nephews. Crystal loved her family deeply and even though she had no biological children of her own, she had many spiritual children that she nurtured and loved. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., May 28, 2022 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk with Bishop E. L. Warren officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., May 27, 2022 at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
