Thomas “Tim” Parks Warner Robins, Georgia Obituary

Thomas “Tim” Parks

A proud United States Army veteran, Thomas “Tim” Parks, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon. Tim was born on February 15, 1953, in Newport News, Virginia. He was the son of the late Thomas Glaston Parks and Olive Roe Parks. Tim served in the U.S. Army for six years in Transportation as an Equipment Storage Specialist. After his military service, Tim worked meticulously as a skilled Contractor. Affectionately referred to as the “Mad Man of Sonic,” he was truly a hard-working craftsman. With a love for sports, Tim played competitive softball throughout his life. He also loved golfing with his wife. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the beach, and listening to music on the radio while working. He especially loved the Eagles. With a fierce love for his family and friends, Tim was loyal to all he knew and admired. His sarcastic sense of humor will be dearly missed. His memory will forever be treasured by his adoring wife of 48 years, Christa Diane Parham Parks of Warner Robins; children, Rhonda Armstong (Jeremy) of Pennsylvania; and James Parks of Hawaii; grandchildren, Bradley Cartwright (Atheina) of Texas; Todd Cartwright of Virginia; and Kate Armstrong of Georgia; sister, Rosa Parks of Virginia; and brother-in-law, Louis King (Teresa) of Virginia. A memorial service celebrating Tim's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), 106 Jesters Lane, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188.
