West Bath, Derald “Darry” Coffin, 43, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born April 9, 1979 in Bath, a son of Frank L. Coffin and Cheri Gilley. After schooling in Bath, Darry worked in construction, auto body repair and commercial fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and snowmobiling. His true passion was being on the water and spending time with friends and family. He was predeceased by his brother Gerald “Jerry” Coffin on May 28, 2000, his father and stepmother Frank & Darreline Coffin of South Harpswell, his grandparents, Thelma and Frank Coffin of Brunswick, Beverly Stilphen of Orr’s Island and Gerald “Jay” Gilley of Augusta, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his mother Cheri Gilley and stepfather Bill of West Bath, brothers, Terry Leonard and his wife Cheryl of Bath, and Frank Coffin of Austin, TX, Step Brother Chad Mayo of Brunswick, stepson, Timothy Ambrose of Boothbay, his daughter, Darielle Coffin of Brunswick, his son, Levi Wallace of Bath, many aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life will be held 11:00AM, Sunday May 8, 2022 at the Topsham fairgrounds exhibition hall.
