Sharie E. Beaver
Sharie Elizabeth Beaver, 79, of Burdett, NY, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Elderwood at Waverly after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Buffalo, NY on June 19, 1942, the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Pfohl) Werick. Sharie received her Bachelor's Degree in Food Science from Cornell University. She was the owner/operator of Stillman's Greenhouse in Montour Falls for forty years. She enjoyed traveling, walking and gardening, but her greatest love was her family, friends and community. <br><br>Sharie was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Stanley Beaver on January 15, 2021.<br><br>She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Mark) Guminski of Lakewood, CO; son, Steven (Melanie) Beaver of Watkins Glen; sister, Catherine Fine of Flagstaff, AZ; brother Edward Werick III of Buffalo, NY; three grandchildren, Brian Swartwood, Kaitlyn Valla and Spencer Beaver.<br><br>There will be a celebration of life for Sharie and Stan on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 3-5 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Private burial will be in Montour Cemetery. Very sad to hear of Sharie's passing. We didn't see much of her and Stan over the years but she was always pleasant when we did and we know she was a very good grandmother to our shared grandchildren.
