Karon Joy Jamison

<div style="font-size:12pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;;"><p style="margin:0;">Karon Joy Jamison, of Bloomington, Indiana<span style="color:#1F497D;">,</span> passed away on April 27, 2022, of natural causes. She was born 78 years ago in Milbank, South Dakota, and raised in Sioux Falls. She graduated from Washington High School in 1961, where she loved singing in the school chorus.</p><p style="margin:0;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin:0;">Karon was preceded in death by her parents, David, and Violet Carlson also of Sioux Falls, and Leslie (Ikey) Elliott of Ellettsville, a longtime companion. </p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">She is survived by a sister, Cheri Carlson of Sioux Falls; one son, Michael, and daughter-in-law Suzanne Jamison; a daughter, Sara Jamison; and two grandchildren Johanna and Alexa Wagner, all living in Georgia. </p><p style="margin:0;">&nbsp;</p><p style="margin:0;">Karon began work at Indiana University in the early ‘70’s, where she worked for over 35 years. She remained in the Financial Aid Department for her entire career and made many lifelong friends. <span style="color:#1F497D;"> </span>She enjoyed attending services at Lifeway Baptist Church in Ellettsville for many years and spending time with her children and grandchildren in Georgia where she anticipated moving next month.</p><p style="margin:0;">&nbsp;</p><p style="color:#1F497D;margin:0;"><span style="color:#000000;">She will be missed by all who loved and knew her. </span></p><p style="color:#1F497D;margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 4, at Lifeway Baptist Church in Ellettsville with the funeral to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington. &nbsp;Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is assisting with arrangements. I met karon in 2002, Spent many hours talking with her and becoming good friends , this brakes our heart to lose such a wonderful friend, I will forever cherish our friendship and the beautiful Christmas glass ball she gave me in 2005.
