Kristi Grant

Kristi Kay Grant passed peacefully at the La Posada Assisted Living Facility in Las Cruces on April 27, 2022 at the age of 55.
Kristi was born March 18, 1967 in Las Cruces, NM to Elizabeth Merritt and the late Bobby Merritt, who passed away on March 31, 2022. Kristi spent most of her life in Las Cruces, but also lived in Dallas, TX and Nashville, TN before returning to be closer to her family.
Kristi joined the Sonic family in 1991 after graduating from New Mexico State University, and went on to work in marketing for the company until 2008. After retiring from Sonic, Kristi continued to expand her love for cooking, which she has shared with her children., and eventually discovered an interest in painting landscapes. A loving and attentive mother, Kristi always encouraged her sons Ryan and Elliott to pursue their passions, including music and sports.
Kristi is survived by her mother Betty; sister Robin Stamnos (Michael Burke); brother Kenneth (Wendy); and sons Ryan Burkett (Felicia Rodriguez) and Elliott Burkett.
The memorial service for Kristi will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 9:00am at the Getz Funeral Home Chapel.
