Jackie ‘Jack’ J. Patton, age 63, of Roodhouse, IL passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Passavant Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, IL.  He was born on May 30, 1958, in Carrollton, IL to Charles and Helen Barnes Patton.  He married Lori Sharrow on December 12, 2012, in Winchester, IL and she survives.

Jack attended school in Pittsfield and went on to work various jobs which included farming as well as working at Maschhoff’s and Vigertone.  He also worked as a maintenance assistant at White Hall Nursing Home, retiring in July 2020.  Jack enjoyed watching WWE, going on drives, travelling, and going to gambling boats.  In earlier years, he also liked to go hunting.  Jack was a family man and enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren, as well as his many close friends.  He loved his life with his wife, Lori.  Jack was honest, caring, loving, and funny which evened out his stern and straightforward way.  He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Patton; children, Taylor (Sheila) Hunnicutt of White Hall, IL, Amber (Jake) Moyer of Barry, IL, and Caitlyn (Johnathan) Hayes of Greenfield, IL; seven grandchildren, Hadley Moyer, Gracie Moyer, Elliette Moyer, Tanner Vetter, Jensen Hayes, Abel Hunnicutt, and Ava Ladd; brothers, Steve (Bonnie) Patton and Paul (Marci) Patton, both of York, NE; sisters, Shirley (Albert) Hasilet of Louisiana, MO, Wanda (Daniel) Ross of York, NE, Pat (Johnnie) Collins of Pittsfield, IL, Tina Camarena of Palmyra, MO, and Stacey (James) Niffen of Bowling Green, MO; brothers-in-law, Kevin Sharrow and David (Martha) Sharrow, both of Pittsfield, IL; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Sharrow of Roodhouse, IL, Cindy (Jay) Hall of Beardstown, IL, Karen (Jim) Rice of West Point, IL, Phyllis (Bill) Hartz of Jacksonville, IL, and Heidi Galloway of Pittsfield, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Patton; brothers, Charles Patton and David Patton; sister, Juanita Sue VanKampen, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Keith and Marilyn Sharrow; sister-in-law, Tamba Sharrow; nieces, Pam Bell, Beth Baskett, and Sharon Kay Cunningham; and nephews, Matthew Gratton, Chris Niffen, and Jackie Joe Patton.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield, IL with visitation prior to the service on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Greenpond Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the family.  Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com.  Niebur Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
