Zenaida A Navarro

Zenaida A. Navarro passed away at the age of 90 on Wednesday, April 27,2022, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Zenaida was born on February 23, 1932, in Norzagaray Bulacan, Philippines to Eugenio and Matea Abriol. She attended Torres Tondo Manila High School then received her Bachelor of Sciences for Education from National Teacher’s College. She worked as a teacher for several years—even teaching one of her daughters—then later worked at UNICEF before retiring. As a Jersey City resident, she regularly attended Sunday mass at Our Lady of Victories, serving as a lector and Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially baking birthday cakes for her grandchildren. Zenaida is survived by her seven children Dulce A. Navarro, Dolora N. Galan, Regina R. de Mesa and her husband, Criel de Mesa, Maria C. N. Lim and her husband, Feliciano R. Lim, Jr., Nolito F. Navarro, Ramon A. Navarro, and Gerald Navarro and his wife, Jasmin V. Navarro; her ten grandchildren Danielle M. Alda and her husband, Alan Alda, Christine Jan de Mesa, Gabrielle A. N. Lim and her husband, Christopher Spall, Gemma E. Navarro, Crielle R.de Mesa, Nathaniel F. Lim, Maya E. Navarro, Dominik E. Silva, Michaela E. Navarro, and Jade A. Navarro; and her great-grandchildren Christian S. de Mesa, Francesca R. Alda, and Dylan M. Alda.
