Peter’s outgoing nature and willingness to help was constantly on display. Whether you found him behind the counter of Erie Jewellers a proud Jarvis St. business he owned, at St. Andrew’s Knox Presbyterian Church where he worshiped since coming to Fort Erie or possibly at a Rotarian meeting, an organization close to his heart that recognized him as a Paul Harris Fellow, you were sure to be greeted with a strong handshake and an ever-present smile. In recognition of his service and dedication to community, he was awarded the Queens Jubilee Medal.

Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 1st from 4-7 pm. A private service followed by burial will take place on Monday, May 2nd. If so desired, donations to The Rotary Foundation of Canada or the Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family.
