James “Jim” Pyle, 75, of Petal passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Moore Petal Chapel with interment to follow in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mr. Pyle was of the Baptist Faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was the Ground’s Manager for the University of Southern Mississippi until his retirement. Hobbies that he enjoyed included antique vehicles, collecting coins, and gardening. He loved animals and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Pyle. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Vicki Herrington Pyle of Petal; his daughters, Diana “Deedy” Kinsey (Carl) of Petal and Christl Bandmann (Johnny Johnson) of Newton; his grandchildren, Katie Quall’s (Jonathon), Kalan Cooley (Mandy), Kristen McLane (Weston Bragg), Kelly Kinsey (Emily), and Marty Kinsey; his great grandchildren, Abby Cooley, Nicholas Franklin, Lexi Kelly, Kristian Kelly, Journey Quall’s, Kathryn Cooley, Sylvie Cooley, Finnley Cooley, Braylen McLane, Addilyn Bragg, Addison Kinsey, Parker Kinsey, Elijah Kinsey, Corbin Saucier, Aiden Jones, Abby Shows, Lauren Shows, and Lila Kate Shows; his sisters, Odena Peters (Jim), Marilyn Moffett (Jim), and Shelley Smith (Craig); and numerous nieces and nephews.
