It is with broken hearts that the family of the late MORRIS JOSEPH EDWARDS of Lord’s Cove NL announces his passing at his home in Scarborough Ontario on April 27/2022 at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are daughters, Madeline (Randy), Marie (Jeff) and son Rod (Cindy). Cherished Grandfather to Morris (Meaghan), Pat (Brittney), Jake, Samantha, Donovan, Jeremy, Kelsie and Rachel. Dear Brother to Mary (George), Eric and Harry of Lords Cove, Les (BC), Ann (NS). Very Special Uncle to all his Nieces and Nephews, special caregiver Brittney plus a large circle of Family and Friends.

Predeceased by wife, Melita Hodge Edwards; parents, Thomas and Madeline Edwards; sisters, Lillian, Madge, Sheila; Brothers, Robert, Bill, Allen and Aubrey.

Pops/Skipper as he was affectionately known by all that knew him was a kind, gentle man who loved spending time with family and friends. His children and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life! The legacy of Pops’ kind spirit, mild manner, gentle soul and passion for sports will live through all of us. Pops loved spending his summers in NL, watching sports with family (especially hockey!), and cooking Jiggs dinner for all of us was a delight for him. Pops wishes were to go back home one last time to be buried next to his wife Melita. It Breaks our Hearts to Lose You, But You Didn’t Go Alone. For A Part of Us Went With You, The Day God Called You Home. Fly High With The Angels!

The Edwards Family will be accepting visitors at St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church. Lord’s Cove on Monday, May 2 beginning at 2:00pm and Tuesday, May 3rd all day. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lord's Cove.

In Morris’ memory, donations can be made to the Edwards Family

and will be distributed to the community of Lord’s Cove organizations or flowers gratefully accepted.
