Glenn L. Caddell

Glenn Lawrence Caddell, 59, of Summerville, husband to Denise Caddell entered into eternal rest on April 26, 2022, at Summerville Medical Center. Born on September 13, 1962 in Summerville, South Carolina, Glenn was a son of the late James Caddell Jr. and Ruth Caddell. Glenn, was a graduate of Holly Hill High School. After graduation Glenn joined the United States Coast Guard. After 23 years of service Glenn joined the Civil Service for an additional 16 years retiring in 2020. Glenn was a Mason and Shriner. Glenn loved building projects for family and friends. Glenn's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with his wife.. Glenn is survived by his wife, Denise; daughter, Tiffany and her husband, Daniel; daughter-in-law, Natalie; grandchildren, Wesley, Kayleigh, Sophia, and Emma; his sister, Wanda (Chris) Cox; aunt, Judy Stillinger; and many aunts, nieces, nephews and countless other family members. In addition to his parents Glenn was predeceased in death by a son, Lawrence and his brother, Ronnie, as well as other family members. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 3-5PM at Avinger Funeral Home. A service will be held Monday, May 2, 2022 at 10AM, in the Chapel of Avinger Funeral Home. Intermittent with Military Honors will follow at Florence National Cemetery at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Glenn`s memory may be sent to The Shriner's Children's Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605. Mr. Caddell was a great guy. He and Mrs. Caddell and Tiffany were like a second family to me in high school as Lawrence was one of my best friends. You will be missed!
