Joseph Bustos Obituary

Joseph (Nina) Bustos was born May 1st 1972 to Wilfred and Dollie Bustos.  Joseph passed away April 23rd 2022 just shy of his 50th birthday.  Joseph was born at Fairview clinic in Espanola.  Joseph moved to Los Alamos in 2016 until his death.  Joseph was an avid outdoors man that loved to hunt, fish, camp and getting wood.  Joseph loved to cook for his kids, family and friends.  Joseph worked at his mom’s restaurant Dollie’s Cafe, and owned Joe B’s in Espanola. Joseph was always willing to go out of his way to help a person in need.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Dollie Bustos, siblings Kenneth Bustos and Amanda Bustos, maternal grandparents Jacobo and Lydia Maestas, paternal grandparents Melquiades and Lugarda Bustos, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Joseph is survived by his children Ashley, Kaeley, Shaeley, his father Wilfred Bustos, his sister Geraldine Montoya, his brother Harold Bustos (Trish), mother of his children Antonita Vigil, and her parents Ernie and Norma Vigil, and his grandpups Mocha, Everest, Snow, Jumba, and Theodore.

Joseph had an amazing life that concluded in an extravagant weight loss journey.  After his first stage of weight loss his family went down to San Antonio hot springs. He was walking down and not used to his new weight he slipped and happened to roll down the mountain. Everyone laughed since these new adventures that were not previously available to him. He also had a very deplorable relationship with nachos. He had nachos on his lap, there was a curb that got hit and caused nachos to flew all over the vehicle.  He was eating nachos when a car pulled out, hit the car and caused the nachos to fly into the dash.  Everyone that had the experience of Joseph’s presence knew his vocal puh-puh-puh. Any exertion led to the floating boat of visual expectations. Joseph loved to show his love for his grandpups with their favorite hotdog treats. The small attributes will be cherished by everyone especially his three girls which he loved his children above anything else.

Service are Pending.

Honorary pallbearers are Annie Garcia, Xzavier Pacheco, Phil Garcia, Johnny Lopez, Kevin Petersen, and Frankie Montoya
