Robert Kenneth Worden, of East Syracuse NY, passed away on April 23, 2022 at the age of 62 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Appendix Cancer. Robert was originally from Canastota, NY.

He was born on November 19, 1959 in Oswego, NY to Robert Hinman and Marie Marquisee. Robert graduated from Canastota High School in 1978. During his high school years, he loved playing baseball and football. Robert was a veteran of the U.S Army serving 3 years as a Calvary Scout from 1980 to 1983. During his time, he was stationed in Washington and Germany. After the military, Robert spent 34 years as a commercial vehicle operator.  His last 17 years employed by the amazing company, Terpening Trucking in Baldwinsville, NY. Traveling a total of 3.5 million miles.   Robert drove a IMCA Dirt Modified racecar number 00 and loved racing in Brewerton, Weedsport, and Fulton, NY. He was an avid NY Mets, NY Giants, NASCAR, and Syracuse basketball fan. Robert was known by family and friends for his great sense of humor and always kept us laughing.  He is the proud father of Krystle Carr, Robert Worden JR, and Tiffany Worden. He happily married Patricia Bigelow in 2016. Robert was a devoted and hardworking husband and a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed racing part time, coaching baseball, watching NASCAR and sports, driving across the country, camping, taking “Worden” pictures with his kids, being goofy with his grandkids.  He was a true family man.  

Robert was predeceased by his parents Marie and John Worden, Robert and Barb Hinman, and grandson Easton Worden. Robert, also known as Bob, will be missed dearly by his surviving family which includes his wife; Patricia Bigelow, children; Krystle (Don) Carr of Sterling, NY, Robert (Weslee) Worden JR of Chittenango, NY, and Tiffany Worden of Syracuse, NY, Spencer (Heather) Coons of Milton, VT, grandchildren; James Carr, Madelyn Carr, Nova Malone, a grandson on the way, Carlton Coons, Charlotte Coons and Claire Coons. He leaves 8 siblings behind. Mark (Sandra), Marie, June (Karen), Valerie (Russ), Susan, Tim (Michelle), Jim, Belinda (Jesse) and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.  

Calling hours will be from 2-5 on Friday, April 29 with memorial service immediately following at CNY Cremation services in East Syracuse.  Following the service, a celebration of Bob’s life will be held at The Hoffman & Walsh Center in Manlius, 6 Stickley Drive, Manlius, NY
Donations can be made in his name to Wanderers Rest animal rescue in Canastota, NY.
