Joy E. Ubben, 91 of Stratford, formerly of Webster City, died Thursday, April 19, 2022, at Stratford Specialty Care. The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Joy and her family.
Joy Estelle Anders, was born February 16, 1931, in Webster City to Carl and Ruth Anders. She received her education from Eagle Grove School. Joy was united in marriage to Claude Dishman following high school. To this union two sons were born, Richard and Clyde. The couple later divorced. She was married to Donald Alvin Adams on September 12, 1958. To this union, two children were born, Donna and Donald Jr. The couple later divorced. Joy worked for many Webster City area businesses: Mortons Foods, The Touchdown, Southfield Care Center and Franklin’s (Frigidaire) before her retirement. In her later years, she was married to Leonard Ubben for nine years.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Dennis) Roosa, Donald Adams Jr., and Richard Dishman all of Webster City; grandchildren, Jessica Holsher, Mandy (Valentin) Ferto, Jammie (Renate) Venegas, Mikaela (Enrique) Sosa, Misty (David) Sharkey, and Kristina Dishman; several great-grandchildren; many other extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clyde Dishman, and granddaughter, Tina Brown.
