Irene E. (Mueller) Barillaro, 87, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away with family by her side Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Vincent Barillaro.

Irene was born November 19, 1934, in Lithuania, the daughter of the late Karl and Aneila (Tiedman) Mueller. She was employed by The Register Citizen as a Collator until her retirement.

She is survived by one son, Karl and Jane Barillaro New Milford CT; two daughters, Teresa and Robert Kaplan, and Carol and Joseph DeAngelo, both of Torrington, CT; one brother, Frederick Mueller of Torrington, CT; six grandchildren, Sara Filogomo and Raymond, Joshua Kaplan and Taylor, Marissa Perkins and Nickolas, Jordan DeAngelo, Nickolas Barillaro and Sarah, Jennifer Barillaro five great grandchildren,Vincent Filogomo, Allegra Filogomo, Logan Perkins, Oakland Kaplan, Braxton Kam as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, with the cortege leaving from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 837 Charles St., Torrington, CT for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
