Glenn R. Lautzenhiser

Glenn R. Lautzenhiser, 91, of Hartville went home to live with the Lord on Sunday morning, April 24, 2022. He was born October 4, 1930, in Greensburg, Ohio to the late Norman and Maude (King) Lautzenhiser. 

Glenn proudly served in the US Army working on advancing radar technology at the White Sands Testing Grounds during the Korean conflict. He was also honored to serve his community on the Hartville Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years as an Assistant Chief and Emergency Medical Technician. He worked at Teledyne Monarch Rubber for 43 years.

Glenn enjoyed camping, working with stained glass, volunteering at Lake Township FISH and singing. Those who knew him will always remember his deep bass notes, elaborate costume parties, Chinese cooking, and prolific storytelling. He was an active member of East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren. 

He deeply loved his wife, Glennis and his three daughters, Bonnie, Debbie, and Pam. His seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren brought him great joy, rivaled only by the joy he brought to them.

He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Baughman, Debbie Heidrich, Pam (Sam) Magar; grandchildren, Tom (Anita) Baughman, Sarah (David) McMillen, Doug (Ashley) Wahlert, Bill Heidrich, Emily (Matthew) Uebel, Joe (Natalie Spicyn) Magar, Julie Magar; great-grandchildren, Zeke, Tommy and Angie Wahlert, CJ McMillen, Selah Baughman, Samuel Magar, Aurora Uebel.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Glennis; brother, Paul Lautzenhiser; sister Ellen Baughman; son-in-law Bill Heidrich; and great-grandson Tyler Wahlert.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 18 at East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren beginning at 10 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am with Pastor Jim Lee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lake Township FISH.
