<p>Vivian June Payne, 68 of Nortonville passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, at her home.&nbsp; Born May 30, 1953, to the late William Cates and the late Helen (Blanchard) Barber.&nbsp; She worked for Dr. Slaton at the Madisonville Veterinarian Clinic and worked in the office side of Country Cupboard for many years.&nbsp; She enjoyed her flower garden and loved to sew.&nbsp; A good home cooked hamburger at home with her boys was her favorite.</p> <p>Preceded in death by her husband, Ruford Payne; and brothers, Bill Cates and Gary Barber.</p> <p>Survived by her sons, Dale Payne of Nortonville and Steven Payne of White Plains; siblings, Sandra McGary of Madisonville, Beth (Harold) Whitfield of Bowling Green, Annette Harralson of Madisonville, Larry (Amber) Barber of Nortonville and Joe (Dottie) Cates of Rockville, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>The family will have a private service at a later date.</p> <p>&quot;I&#39;m not going to say it was aliens or anything, but, it was aliens.&quot;.......Vivian.</p>

Vivian June Payne, 68 of Nortonville passed away Friday, April 22, 2022, at her home.  Born May 30, 1953, to the late William Cates and the late Helen (Blanchard) Barber.  She worked for Dr. Slaton at the Madisonville Veterinarian Clinic and worked in the office side of Country Cupboard for many years.  She enjoyed her flower garden and loved to sew.  A good home cooked hamburger at home with her boys was her favorite.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ruford Payne; and brothers, Bill Cates and Gary Barber.

Survived by her sons, Dale Payne of Nortonville and Steven Payne of White Plains; siblings, Sandra McGary of Madisonville, Beth (Harold) Whitfield of Bowling Green, Annette Harralson of Madisonville, Larry (Amber) Barber of Nortonville and Joe (Dottie) Cates of Rockville, Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
