Ronald Dale Fritz “pop” or “Ronnie” died unexpectedly, yet peacefully on April 22, 2022. He was born August 27, 1933, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. The tenth child in a family of 12 children, Ronnie was the final survivor of his siblings. He celebrated 60 years of marriage to his beloved, “love at first sight”, wife “Rea” Maria (Fuchs) Fritz of Heroldsberg, Germany. He is survived by his 4 children Dr. Ronald Fritz (wife Valerie), Jeffrey Fritz (wife Toni), Deborah Guay (husband Dave), and Richard Fritz (wife Holly); 10 grandchildren, Ronald (wife Gina), Jeffrey, Jessica, Jacob, Courtney, Karina, Evelyn Guay, Christopher Guay, and Brian Leval (wife My); and 8 great grandchildren, Dillon, Anika, Alira, Ronin, Harper, Vincent, Brandon Leval, and Mia Leval.

Ronnie initially served in the U.S. Airforce, saving a young boy from drowning while stationed in Japan. Ronnie then worked as a railroad engineer for 50 + years before retiring from New Jersey Transit in 1997. Always reaching, in addition to working as a railroad engineer Ronnie owned and operated four restaurants and bars in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. An inspiration and a role model, Ronnie brought a lot of warm smiles and joy to the world, summers at the beach, road trips with our camping trailer, morning breakfasts, whistling bird calls, he will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by many. We’ll miss you pop.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Apr. 27th, from 4pm to 7pm, with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm, in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic city Blvd., Bayville.
