Sandra "Sandy" Isabel Gutiérrez Díaz,34, was born January 1st, 1988. As the victim of a hit and run accident in Salinas, California, she tragically died on April 14, 2022.<br><br>Sandy is the youngest of six siblings. On the inside and out, she was beautiful. In minutes, strangers would begin to feel like lifelong friends because of her intoxicating charm. She had a gift of making everyone feel special and valued. <br><br>Sandy was incredibly intelligent. She loved reading and was a math genius. She'd talk about traveling the world, trying new cuisines, and meeting people. <br><br>She was the life of any party. It would be impossible to tell you what her favorite song was because she sang banda, rock, cumbia, motown, country, freestyle... and danced it all.<br><br> When she was a little girl, she loved to dance twirling in her big puffy dresses. As a baile folclórico dancer she was a fish in water. <br><br>Sandy's greatest joy was her children Aleli (beautiful and intelligent), Eliel (brave and mischievous), Belen (sweet and innocent), and her youngest Irene (flirty and charming).<br><br>"And that is why they are mine, each one of my children inherited something from me. I am left with the pride and suffering that in God, I commend myself that I be reincarnated into their Guardian Angel." -Sandy<br><br>Sandy, is dearly missed by her children; her parents Maria de Lourdes and Fructuoso Gutiérrez; siblings Claudia, Juan F., Rebeca, Valente and Miguel A. (Rebecca) Gutiérrez; Her Grandmother Rebeca Lepez Vda de Díaz; her nephews and niece; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. <br><br>Services will be held at Pacific Gardens Chapel 1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, California , 95062. Visitation will begin at 1pm followed by a Vigil, and Funeral Service at 3pm.<br><br> Sandy's favorite color was burgundy, so anyone inclined is invited to wear it in tribute. Following the ceremony, a Celebration of Life reception will be held at El Alteno Restaurant, 323 Main St, Watsonville, CA 95076, .6pm-830pm.
