Glen A. Thompson Sr. Obituary

Glen A. Thompson Sr.

Hubbardsville - Glen A. Thompson Sr., 56, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, April 18, 2022, at the Abraham House in Rome, New York, following a lengthy battle with brain cancer.

Glen was born, one of five boys, on May 29, 1965 in Easton, PA, to the late Nancy Thompson and George Krum. He worked in the manufacturing and construction profession before becoming ill.  On April 9th, in front of Hon. Mary Lou Rhodes, Brookfield Town Justice, Glen was joined in a commitment of love ceremony to his one special love, Debra Atkinson, who has been his true love and his rock through the struggles with surgeries and treatments since 2015. Debra has been there to keep him going and pick him up when he wanted to give up. The love and bond that they shared is one to be cherished.

Glen was a man who endured many struggles in his life, but had always persevered. He was a great outdoorsman, who particularly loved his camping days, his NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys.  A devoted grandfather, Glen loved having his grandchildren around him, and family gatherings.

Glen is survived by his love, Debra Atkinson, and her children; Angela Martz (David) and Christopher Atkinson (Yukie); his children, Krista Thompson and Courtney Morehouse (Dalton); his brothers, Troy Krum (Desiree), Bruce Krum (Deb), and David Krum (Kayla); grandchildren, Eerika, Kaydance, David, Ryan, Gabriel, and Alena;  Great grandchildren, Paisley and Gavin. Glen is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Glen was predeceased by his parents Nancy and George, a brother, Mark Thompson and his son, Glen Jr.
