Michael Charles Porzl of New Milford was 80 years old when he passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Thursday, April 21, 2022. Born in Teaneck, Michael was raised in Union City before settling in New Milford 45 years ago. Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his discharge from military service, Michael served as a Lieutenant with the Englewood Fire Department for over 25 years. He would later go on to become the Sales Manager of JNT Technical Services in Little Ferry until retiring 5 years ago.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Ann (nee Sturdy) Porzl. He is the loving father of Jennifer Serpico and her husband Philip and Megan Dorey and her husband Matthew. Michael was predeceased by his late brothers Billy Porzl and John Porzl. He is survived by his dear sisters Fran Baratta and Marge Towle. Michael is the cherished grandfather of Emma Dorey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, on Monday April 25th from 5 pm to 8 pm. The following morning, Tuesday, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his memory in the Church of the Ascension, New Milford at 10 am. Burial to follow Holy Cross Cemetery,  North Arlington.
