Services for Dottie Glass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Hilliard Funeral Home with Pastor Reggie Day officiating. A graveside will follow at Fairway Garden of Memories Cemetery in Van. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Dottie Mae Head Glass was born September 4, 1923 in Smith County to the late Fred Q. Head and Birdie Estelle Braly Head. She had been a resident of the Lindale/Garden Valley area most of her life and was a member of Garden Valley Baptist Church. She worked for Buddy Schoellkopf for 25 years. She loved to cook and enjoyed gathering the family together for a big Sunday night dinner. She also enjoyed gardening and keeping a pretty yard and was a talented seamstress.

Dottie passed away at the age of 98 on April 20, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents; nine siblings; husband, J.B. Glass; son, Jackie Echols; and grandson, Teresa Echols.

Survivors include her daughter, Vonda Humphries; daughter-in-law, Ruby Echols; grandchildren, Dewayne Echols, Kimberly Osborne, Justin Echols, Danny Echols, and Melissa Hass and husband, Corey; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Shyanne, Preston, Jaxson, and Landon.
