Omar F. Dingman Obituary

Age 88, of Leoni Township, passed away at Allegra Nursing and Rehab in Jackson on Monday, April 18, 2022.  He was born December 19, 1933 at Kimball Township near Marysville, MI, the son of Omar and Catherine (Sharkey) Dingman. 

Omar is survived by two children, Rosetta (Paul) Myers of Crestview, FL and Bradley Dingman of Jackson; grandsons, Jason (Julie) Myers of Las Vegas, NV and Brandon Dingman of Jackson; step-grandson, Brandon Wylie of Monroe;  great-grandson, Miland Myers; and two sisters, Genevieve Osentoski of Marysville and Roberta Ehler of Port Huron; brother, Eugene Dingman of Marysville; nieces and nephews. 

Omar was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Barbara Dingman in 2021; parents, Omar and Catherine Dingman; sisters, Ruth Smith, Cecilia Genaw and Mary Sue Suisse; brothers, Kenneth Dingman, Freddie Dingman and Patrick Dingman.

Omar retired after many years with Eaton Aeroquip Corporation in Jackson.  He enjoyed cooking and collecting antique cars. 

As was his request, private graveside services will be held at Leoni Cemetery.
